History
The culmination of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jerry Garcia, vocalmeister and axeslinger Bob Weir, bassist Phil Lesh and drummers, Mickey Hart and Billy Kreutzman - they formed the Grateful Dead in 1965.
Producing well over 20 albums, the band only incurred one Top 40 Hit, Touch of Gray. It was that video that put the band on the map, changing their fan's culture forever. Although their stardom didn't come in until late in life, it was enough to carry their psychedelic sounds from the 60s into a once in a lifetime merry memory of yesteryear.
With the untimely death of focal icon Garcia, the band was forced to put down their touring feet and re-invent themselves by each creating their side own projects.
